30th November = Day 01: Arrival at Dimapur Airport – Kohima City Meeting and assistance on arrival at Dimapur Airport and drive to Kohima (70km/2hrs). Kohima is the capital of Nagaland and also the hill station which is situated at an altitude of 1444 meters above sea level. Overnight in Kohima
1st to 4th December = Day 02, 03, 04 & 05: Kohima “Horn Bill Festival” (From 1st - 10th December of every year) Full two days attain HORN BILL Festival at Kisama festival ground. We will see the all the sixteen major tribes and sub-tribes of Nagaland and their custom and tradition, traditional folk song and dance, dress ornament, handicraft and handlooms etc. We will enjoy traditional foods, traditional sports and infra structure and traditional design of tribal houses. Overnight in Kohima.
5th December = Day 06: Kohima – Khonoma - Kohima After morning breakfast, take a sightseeing tour of Khonoma village, an Angami tribal village, about 20 kms. Towards the west of Kohima. The Khonoma village has its own traditions of valor and courage. The history reveals that Khonoma provided protection to several villages in good old days. The village gate tells the story of the British infiltration into Naga Hills. Afternoon visit state Museum treasures rare collection of articles of different tribes which speak about the history and tradition of the Nagas. The war cemetery contains graves of the 1200 British and Indian Soldiers who died in 1944 in the Battle of Kohima in World War Two. This was the beginning of what the Japanese thought would be their defeat of India. However, this 64-day battle proved to be a turning point as it was the first defeat of the Japanese by the British. The Naga people aided the British and Indian soldiers in any way they could to ensure defeat, such as acting as guides to the land, porters and combatants. Evening visit local market where Naga women selling different types of local vegetables, fruits, eatable reptiles etc. Overnight in Kohima.
6th December = Day 07: Kohima – Dimapur Airport – Delhi/Major Cities of India After breakfast, drive to Dimapur Airport (70km/2hrs) towards Delhi/major cities of India, tour end.
